Another Seaside Rendez-Vous

Rosa's huge cactus waves good-bye the summer holidays with a short-lived, splendid flower. Its sister will be in bloom within a couple of days, but just for two short hours.
Neither beauty nor youth can be everlasting; therefore, carpe diem, wrote Horace centuries ago ('pluck the day', in Latin), enjoy life while you can.

Did you ever see The Dead Poets' Society? (Highly recommended). Horace (ancient Rome), Cavafy (20th Century Greece) and Walt Whitman (USA) were lingering on. It's a small world, isn't it?
